Annual Meeting of Members on January 16th
On January 16, the 2020 Annual Meeting of Members will celebrate the Chamber’s 115th Anniversary with former NFL running back Thurman Thomas. This is take two, as his 2019 engagement was postponed until this year. Set for Thursday the 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the event will be held at the Arnot Mall Event Center; it is the Chamber’s largest gathering of the year.
Opening with a reception at 5:00 p.m., guests can network while enjoying hors d’oeuvres by the Holiday Inn and an open bar. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. with remarks from Chamber Board Chairman Jeff Kenefick (Chemung Canal Trust Company). There will also be an election of officers to the Chamber Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Keynote speaker Thurman Thomas is a former NFL running back who had an incredible eleven years with the Buffalo Bills. His record-setting career includes such honors as five-time selection to the Pro Bowl, nomination as the 1991 NFL MVP, induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and retirement of his jersey number by the Bills last year.
